MARSFACE
|
|
|
Face-on-Mars.
Natural land formation with unusual geographic characteristics.
This rendition of the face was of interest to the author at the
time of development and has no merit in fact and should not be interpreted
so - it is simply the result of a grayscale
image conversion.

MMASK
|
|
|
|
MMask - Somewhere
in Europe and definitely on planet Earth.
Sky, Valley, Clouds and Solids make up this high quality 3D scene
where users are immersed in a virtual world of framework, cover
and hyperlinked drilldowns.

This
scene uses the same object model as MMask. The background was changed
and we added trees, grass, snow and shading - the object model remained
untouched. This scene is about grayscaling
and its impact on elevation data - needless to say the impact is significant,
scene break up at vrml boundaries is due to its beta test nature and
not worthy of further refinement. |

BOAT
EL-CAPITAN
|
|
|
Big
wall
climbing at some of its best. El Capitan is just one of the many challenges
Yosemite Nat'l Park provides.
Special note, at
the base of El Capitan exists a forest with meadows, streams, ponds
etc. NOT! the demonstrative lake shown here. |
Can it be done."
That was the water question. Using El Capitan we added water to the
valley floor along with a few solids. |

ANIMATION
|
|
 |
Motion
is the focus of
this scene. The scene consists
of multiple synchronous objects combined to form one fluid motion.
The
scene is about objects, relationships and fluidity.

COOLING
SYSTEM
|
|
|
Maximizing
resources is what this scene is all about. By reusing VRML objects
we were able to construct our snowmobile cooling system using minimal
resources. This approach allows us to improve load time.
