Sonic Cruiser
Starting out as an image trace, Sonic Cruiser would ultimately
end up as a series of still images ported to a web browser,
but not without winding its way through 2D geometry and 3D
models first.
The Data
Defined in 2D, modeled in 3D, and ported to the web - that
was the goal. To that end we used Rhinoceros®
to create our geometry, 3DS
Maxfor sceen, animation and image construction and
Abobe Photoshop®
for graphics.
The Journey
A circumscribed path about a focal point on our model. The
Viewers current position relative to the model is provided
by a DHTML graphic reference point and the word "you".
The Result
A low tech method of displaying image clusters in a web browser.
